World Para Athletics Championship New Delhi 2025

Bangladesh proudly participated in the 12th edition of the World Para Athletics Championships, joining over 2,000 athletes from 104 nations. Competing at the iconic Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, our three-athlete delegation showcased remarkable grit and competitive spirit on one of the world’s most prestigious stages for Para-sports.

National Milestone: 7th in the World

The championship was highlighted by a historic performance from Md Selim Reza in the Men’s High Jump T44 event. Competing against a world-class field, Selim Reza cleared a height of 1.79m to secure 7th place globally. In doing so, he also set a new Personal Best (PB), demonstrating the continuous growth of Bangladesh's technical standards in vertical jumps.
