Promoting Inclusion through Sports
The National Paralympic Committee of Bangladesh (NPC Bangladesh) is the national governing body for para sports in Bangladesh and a recognized member of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC). It is dedicated to identifying, training, and promoting athletes with disabilities, organizing national and international competitions, and ensuring Bangladesh’s representation in global para sporting events.
NPC Bangladesh strives to promote inclusion and equality through sports participation, enhance self-confidence among persons with disabilities, and advance the vision of “Sports for All.” The organization’s continuous efforts are directed toward creating a more inclusive society by breaking social barriers and enabling athletes with disabilities to reach their fullest potential.
Objectives
In line with IPC and APC, NPC Bangladesh’s implicit or working objectives includes:
Enabling and promoting para-sport in Bangladesh (at grassroots, national & international level)
Identifying, training, supporting para-athletes with disabilities
Representing Bangladesh in international para-sport events (e.g., Paralympic Games, Asian Para Games)
Advocating for social inclusion, accessibility and recognition of persons with disabilities via sport
