Para Table Tennis Classification
At NPC Bangladesh, we follow the ITTF (International Table Tennis Federation) and IPC standards to ensure fair competition. In Para Table Tennis, classification is divided into three main groups: Wheelchair (Classes 1–5), Standing (Classes 6–10), and Intellectual Impairment (Class 11).
The 11 Sport Classes
Category | Class | Typical Impairment Profile |

3–5 | Full arm function but varying levels of trunk control and sitting balance.
Standing | 6–8 | Severe to moderate impairments of both legs and/or the playing arm. |
9–10 | Mild impairments in legs or playing arm; includes those with short stature.
Intellectual | 11 | For athletes with an intellectual impairment (must meet VIRTUS criteria). |
